Accessibility statement
Last updated 11 October 2026
Po-Nad-To works with people who are often left out: young people, migrants, minorities, educators with few resources. A website that leaves people out would contradict everything we do. We want everyone to be able to read this site, watch the films and get in touch, whatever their abilities and whatever device they use.
What we aim for
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard required by the European Accessibility Act and the Polish act on digital accessibility.
What is in place
- Keyboard. Everything can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone. A "Skip to content" link appears on the first press of Tab. The focus is always visible.
- Screen readers. Headings, landmarks, labels and image descriptions are in place. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. The film player and the menus announce themselves. The number of films shown is announced when you change a filter.
- Accessibility menu. The icon at the top of every page opens settings that stay in your browser: text size up to 135 percent, higher contrast, no animations, underlined links, readable spacing, and an easier-to-read typeface (Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed for low vision).
- Contrast. All text meets the 4.5:1 ratio in light and dark mode. The higher-contrast setting goes further, with black on white or white on black.
- Motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, the site shows no animations. The same can be chosen in the menu. Nothing flashes.
- Text. The page reflows up to 400 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling. Text is real text, never an image.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label, required fields are named, and errors are explained in words.
- Video. The demo film has closed captions in English, Polish, French and Spanish, and a full written transcript in English and Polish next to it.
Known limitations
- The workshop films play from YouTube. Many of the older films have no captions yet, and the YouTube player's own controls are not fully ours to fix. We are adding captions to the films progressively, starting with the featured ones.
- Some partner logos are images with the partner's name as their description, nothing more.
- The foundation's financial and activity reports are PDF documents and may not be fully accessible. Ask us for an accessible version.
